What Will It Cost

When conflicts are not reconciled and disputes are not resolved, relationships are damaged, ministry is disrupted and Christ is dishonored. These “costs” are always greater than the cost of pursuing peace. Monetarily, the cost of reconciling conflicts and resolving disputes through peacemaking is generally much less than going to court. The cost of our services varies depending upon the specific services we are asked to provide, the complexity of the matter, the number of parties involved, and the time required. Click any service category below for a general description of the costs involved.

  • Coaching

Initial, basic coaching by telephone and prior to mediation, arbitration or intervention is provided at no cost. If you need to meet with us or a Peace Advocate personally or desire more extensive or ongoing coaching, fees for advanced coaching are calculated on a “time spent” basis at the Peace Advocate’s hourly rate. A written Coaching Agreement will be prepared and signed that specifies the terms of the advanced coaching engagement and the per hour fee before any fees are charged. Deposits may be required before advanced coaching is provided.

  • Mediation and Arbitration

Fee Reduction and Payment Plan Requests
While PeacePoint’s fees reflect the reasonable value of the mediation and arbitration services we provide and have been approved by our Board of Directors, PeacePoint occasionally grants requests for a fee reduction or for payment plans based on extraordinary circumstances or unusual financial hardship. The request must be in writing, must detail the specific reasons for the request, must specify the reduction or relief requested and must have all supporting documents or papers attached. The request must be submitted with the initial party information sheet, questionnaires and filing fees so it can be thoughtfully considered and a decision made before the commencement of the case and the appointment of the Peace Advocate. All requests received are reviewed by a special committee of our Board of Directors who make the final determination based on information and financial documentation submitted by the requesting party.
